Discover the exhibition GIRLS.On Boredom, Rebellion and Being In-Between with a MoMu guide who unveils the stories behind the exhibits! Experience the exhibition through the stories of the guide, who will take you through the different themes in a special scenography.
Through various themes, GIRLS explores the beauty and complexity of girlhood and the emotional journey of growing up. How has girlhood been represented? How is it remembered? And how does the idea of ‘the girl’ continue to shape visual culture and fashion?
GIRLS is about daughterhood, sisterhood, and friendship. About boredom, rebellion and coming of age. This interdisciplinary exhibition brings together visual artists, fashion designers, photographers, costume designers, and filmmakers.
The project is created in conversation with teenagers and is inclusive of LGBTQI+ youth.
