What is RE/SOURCE?
RE/SOURCE is a travelling fabric fair where Bakermat offers visitors access to the remaining stocks of its textile manufacturers. Students, hobbyists and designers get the chance to explore deadstock fabrics for a day, put together their selection and place an order without minimum order quantity. Within 2-3 weeks after the final day of RE/SOURCE, all orders are ready for shipment or can be picked up at Bakermat.
For this edition, Bakermat is working with fabrics from a selection of international textile manufacturers: Berto (ITA), Besani (ITA), Beste (ITA), Gruppocinque (ITA), Libeco (BEL), Luigi Ricceri (ITA), Maggia (ITA), Paoletti (ITA), Scabal (BEL), Serica 1870 (ITA), Sophie Hallette (FRA), Motif (Bangladesh), Akalroop (India) and Pontoglio (ITA).
New to this edition are Motif, which specialises in handwoven fabrics made from natural and recycled fibres; Akalroop, renowned for its artisanal woven textiles and expertise in silk; and Pontoglio, a leading producer of premium velvet fabrics. In addition, visitors will be able to discover a selection of deadstock fabrics from Belgian designers, including Ann Demeulemeester.
