MoMu loan at Vitra Design Museum in Germany

MoMu has loaned three silhouettes by Walter Van Beirendonck to the Vitra Design Museum for their exhibition entitled "Night Fever: Designing Club Culture 1960 – Today". The exhibition explores the rise of night clubs as spaces for experimentation with interior design, new media, fashion, and alternative lifestyles.

The Vitra Design Museum selected silhouettes from three collections by Van Beirendonck: "Over the Rainbow" (Autumn-Winter 1990-1991), "Hardbeat" (Autumn-Winter 1989-1990) and "The Big Bang" (Autumn-Winter 1990-1991).

These looks are presented in combination with an image from the finale of the  W.&L.T. runway show of the Autumn-Winter collection 1995-1996 "Paradise Pleasure Productions", a large scale production in the Parisian Elysée Montmartre.
