How does an exhibition take shape when craftsmanship, history and contemporary perspectives come together? During this MoMu Talk, curators Wim Mertens and Meera Curam discuss the making of Chintz. A Blend of Craftsmanship and Controversy. They will share how the exhibition evolved, reflect on the insights gained through their collaboration, and explore the layered history of chintz. Drawing on their research, they will consider craftsmanship, the exchange of knowledge, and the complex relationship between textiles, colonialism and decolonisation.
