A group of Turkish women meets on a weekly basis at the MoMu Café to share their passion for Turkish knitting, crochet, embroidery and other traditional sewing techniques. Under the expert guidance of Nerkiz Sahin and Zülbiye Ayaz, they have once again this year immersed themselves in centuries-old crafts, combining them with contemporary styles and materials.

Using exclusively recycled fabrics and materials, they created fourteen unique silhouettes inspired by Fashion & Interiors, one of MoMu’s exhibitions in 2025, in which craftsmanship and cultural symbolism come together. Kadın, the Turkish word for ‘woman’, reflects the female perspective through which traditionally masculine silhouettes are reinterpreted.

Drawing on masculine influences in their lives, the participants created a modern, powerful yet distinctly feminine style – interwoven with the warmth and rich textile traditions of Turkish culture. Be inspired by their designs, in which strength and femininity merge. Enjoy the wonderful creations, accompanied by traditional Turkish snacks and music.
