The Antwerp Six Welcomes 100,000th Visitor

Just six months after opening, The Antwerp Six has reached the 100,000-visitor mark. On Thursday, 24 September, the museum welcomed its 100,000th visitor to the exhibition: 20-year-old fashion student Margherita Ornella from Italy travelled to Antwerp especially for the exhibition with a group of fellow students from Università Iuav di Venezia. To mark the occasion, she was surprised with a goodie bag, including the exhibition catalogue.

With The Antwerp Six, MoMu celebrates 40 years since the international breakthrough of Dirk Bikkembergs, Ann Demeulemeester, Walter Van Beirendonck, Dries Van Noten, Dirk Van Saene and Marina Yee. In 1986, they travelled to London with their collections, putting Antwerp firmly on the international fashion map. For the first time, an official exhibition brings together their shared beginnings and six distinct individual careers.
