From the Art & Crafts movement to the Bauhaus, architectural historian Priska Schmückle von Minckwitz with curator Marion Vignal will explore art and design history through the dialogue between fashion and interiors by women artists and designers of the early modern times.

Villa Bloemenwerf in Brussels, the first studio-house of Belgian artist couple Henry van de Velde and Maria Sèthe, marks a turning point for women to take part in the design of their environment. How much did Maria Sèthe take part in the conception and construction of the total work of art Bloemenwerf, for which the couple even designs the dresses she's going to wear ? What does it mean for European women around 1900 and how does it open new possibilities for key women artists and designers of the early 20th century, like Sonia Delaunay and Charlotte Perriand?

Schmückle von Minckwitz and Vignal will explore the artistic vision behind the house and its influence on modern living.
