Live Podcast: Kende dit al? with MEROL and Jasmien Van Loo

Kende dit al?, the musical podcast by Sofie Engelen (radio presenter) and Vincent Van Hoorick (director and podcast producer) is coming to MoMu.

Fashion and music have always been closely intertwined. Think of icons like David Bowie and Kurt Cobain, or the bold statements of Madonna and Lady Gaga. These two worlds constantly influence each other.

Young fashion designer Jasmien Van Loo and Dutch pop icon MEROL also demonstrate how fashion and music influence each other. Together, they create the unique looks that MEROL wears to perform across Belgium.

At the end of May, they will join Sofie Engelen and Vincent Van Hoorick at MoMu for a conversation about music and the unique cross-pollination between fashion and music. The evening will conclude with an exclusive live session.

MEROL gained prominence in 2018 with her hit song Lekker Met De Meiden, becoming known for her bold, feminist electropop. She has performed at major festivals and collaborated with various artists. Her popular tracks, such as Hou Je Bek En Bef Me, have attracted large audiences. In 2025, she released her musical film Diep in de Nacht.

Jasmien Van Loo is a fashion designer from Antwerp, renowned for her sustainable creations using upcycled materials. She frequently designs custom looks for artists like MEROL, Sylvie Kreusch, Pommelien Thijs, and Glints.
