GODDESS provided an overview of the impact of clothes from the Greek Antiquity on the fashion of the 20th and 2st century. Special attention went out to the summer collections of 2004, when the Greek inspiration was all the thing. GODDESS was based on the exhibition ‘GODDESS, The Classical Mode’ of ‘The Costume Institute’ of ‘The Metropolitan Museum of Art’ in New York. The MoMu displayed part of this exhibition.

MALIGN MUSES looked at how contemporary fashion is possessed by the past as a disturbing muse. It shows a repertoire of repetitions, both imploring and idealised. We never entirely know our muses and their effect is always unpredictable. In this exhibition we looked for clues in the details of the dresses themselves. As we get to understand the rules, we also discover what connects the dresses.
